The LANforge SIP call generator utilizes the VOCAL SIP stacks and soft-switch programs. Some of the Candela engineers are leading an effort to re-write the VOCAL code to make it easier to debug and maintain.
Candela Technologies is currently hosting a CVS repository for the new branch with public read-only access. If you would like write access, please contact Ben Greear.
NOTE: The gua soft phone and SIP/RTP stack is stable and tested, but many of the other VOCAL servers are not complete. At the moment, I plan to only ensure that gua works properly, though I will gladly apply patches that help get the rest of the servers ported over the the new architecture.
To check out the code, use commands similar to:
cvs -d :pserver:vocal2@cvs.candelatech.com:/home/cvs_user/vocal2 login # password is: vocal2 cvs -d :pserver:vocal2@cvs.candelatech.com:/home/cvs_user/vocal2 -z3 co vocal2
To build the code:
cd vocal2/vocal2 ./configure --with-shared-libs make
A CVS-Web interface to the VOCAL2 repository is also available.
