Candela Technologies obtained ath10k firmware source code NDA in order to add virtual-station emulation to the ath10k firmware and linux driver. In adding these features, Candela made quite a few other bug fixes and changes to the ath10k firmware. Candela makes these firmware images available with the restrictions listed below.
The CT firmware is a modified version of the official firmware from Qualcom-Atheros. The CT 10.1 firmware is based on the 10.1.467 release, with some backports from 10.2. CT firmware should support all features available in the upstream firmware as well as additional features unless otherwise noted. Please see these individual pages for the different firmware versions.
